FAQ

Q. I know that you have clearly stated that you will not undertake any work of an extreme adult nature, but would you consider working with me on that kind of project as a one off? I can provide references and am a proven professional.

A. I'm very sorry, but No. My limits are stated for a reason, I am happy, confident and comfortable enough to work up to those levels. I feel that I can create work to be proud of within these boundaries, and hold no interest in collaborating on projects that go beyond them.

Q. A Photographer/Model/Stylist/Band/Company that you have previously worked with has contacted me about doing a shoot; can you provide me with a reference for them?

A. Of course! Just contact me with the relevant details i.e name and a relevant link to their portfolio, and I'll reply to you with an honest and detailed account of my experiences with them.

Q. I would like some detailed references for you, how can I obtain them?

A. I will happily supply you with a complete up-to-date list of photographers/models/stylists/companies that I have been fortunate enough to work with. You will be able to contact anyone you choose, and they will provide you with an honest reference.

Q. What is your date of birth?

A. The 5th of August 1986

Q. How did you start modelling?

A. Modelling is something that I have been doing ever since I was a little girl. I was due to join some of the top agencies but alas I stopped growing. During my early teens I took something of a hiatus from the industry, and it was a few years later whilst enjoying a night of debauchery out at a Fetish Club, that photographer Tim Caddick gave me his card. After a bit of contemplation I decided to call Tim, and the rest as they say is history.

Q. I want to start modelling; do you have any advice for me?

A. My advice would be to be careful. I think that it largely depends on what genre of modelling you want to do (keeping in mind that your height and figure will affect the areas of the industry that you are likely to gain employment) and how seriously you wish to pursue it.

Whatever the case the first step to take would be to contact a local photographer whose work you admire, and ask them about a potential test shoot. Be sure to obtain references, and never go to a shoot alone (even if a photographer has glowing references!).Study images of models that you like, and practice using different facial expressions and poses. Find the poses that work well for you and flatter your individual body shape.

You can't be afraid of rejection or of other people's opinions; you need to be thick skinned with attitude. Everybody is searching for the fortune and fame, for me modelling isn't about that. It's about art.

If you lose track of the art and the emotion then you have lost track of your works meaning. Every picture is a promise, and a good model keeps that promise. You should never be afraid to show the camera raw emotion. Vivid personality counts for a lot.

Q. Who are some of your favourite Photographers?

A. I always find this question to be a difficult one to answer. There are many photographers whose work I greatly respect and admire. Currently the work of Marc Blackie, Matthew Cooke, Steve Diet Goedde, Lithium Picnic, and Mike Tucker has my attention.

Q. What are some of your favourite Publications?

A. I must confess that I keep up with Vogue, and I also enjoy turning the pages of Bubblegum Slut, Inked, Rolling Stone, and Skin Deep.

Q. How did you start working as a Dancer/Performer?

A. I've never been the shy type, even when I was tiny I would put on my Mothers Bad Company and Led Zeppelin records singing and dancing away. I've always held a keen interest in performance, and studied all aspects of dance during my time in high school and college.

I later went on to attend specialist classes to gain skills in more unique forms of dance and performance, and also began working as a dancer in Gentlemen's Clubs where I learnt the art of pole dancing on the job. Burlesque has always been a passion of mine; I sought out old film of Burlesque stars and was fortunate enough to meet Jami Deadly who helped me along the way.

Q. Where do you get your cosmetic make-up from?

A. This is a question that I get asked a lot. I purchase almost all of my make-up from Bobbi Brown, not only a fabulous selection of products and colours, but also very gentle on the skin. I also use M.A.C and Chanel.

Q. How do you do your make-up?

A. I have basic Beauty qualifications, but no formal make-up artist training.

I do occasionally help to run workshops for new and experienced models alike, where I give general tutorials on all aspects of modelling including make-up. I would suggest seeking out images of looks that you wish to emulate, investing in make-up of a decent quality, and then sit in a well-lit room and practice!

There are also a number of make-up tutorial videos that can be found on YouTube now.

Q. How do you keep your skin so clear and smooth?

A. I find that a combination of things really helps to keep my skin in excellent condition. I eat plenty of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, drink a lot of water and green tea, get a good amount of sleep, use bottled spring water to wash my face, cleanse/tone/moisturise twice daily, and use good quality cosmetics suited to my skin type. I'm also a non-smoker which may be a factor in the condition of my skin.

Q. Where do you buy your clothing?

A. I'm a huge fan of little unique boutiques in different cities around the world, and find some wonderful vintage attire by browsing thrift stores. I'm not majorly keen on most high street chains, and prefer to indulge my creativity by making some of my outfits myself.

There are some links on the 'Links' page of my site to some lovely clothing sites and Designers.

Q. How did you become interested in the Fetish and Burlesque scene?

A. I've been interested in Fetish and Burlesque ever since I first discovered the scene in my early teens.

This is a strange one to explain, I guess that they just appealed to me. When I was first introduced to the highest heels, latex and proper corsetry, I knew that I was onto something wonderful. I eagerly attended Fetish clubs, and began to gain more of an in-depth understanding of Fetish, and the more I learnt, the more I wanted to be a part of it.

I've always adored Burlesque and Vintage style, I used to marvel at my Grandmothers collections and couldn't wait for the day when I would be able to afford myself such finery. It seemed like a natural progression for me to model the attire that I love and collect.

Q. Have you ever worked as a Dominatrix?

A. Yes, I spent some time working in London as a Dominatrix for a Fetish Show during 2006.

Q. Are you married?

A. No I'm not married, but I am engaged to Ian Savage.

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?

A. When I do have some spare time I adore to spend countless hours with Ian, and our daughter October..

I enjoy reading, writing, going to gigs, going to festivals, visiting historical sites and art galleries, and spending time outside amongst nature. I also have a bit of a guilty pleasure and like to play computer games, particularly ones of the RPG persuasion.
